King Men is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo.
She holds a second-class upper LLB degree from the University of Liverpool and an LLM in International Law from the University of Oslo.
With her legal background and strong interest in sustainability, she believes that policies and laws play a vital role in achieving the ambitious and transformative vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her research area is developing a strong and coherent regulatory framework for electric vehicle batteries to achieve a sustainable circular economy and enable a sustainable net-zero energy transition in Norway and the European Union.
She also practiced as an advocate and solicitor in Malaysia and had extensive experience in commercial litigation, representing clients in various dispute resolution matters, from employment, contract, tort, construction, and enforcement of judgments such as winding up and bankruptcy.
In addition to her experience in the legal field, King Men has also worked as an intern and volunteer with a prominent Member of Parliament in Malaysia, assisting in political campaigns in Malaysia's General Election. She was also a Project Officer at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth.
