PhD Candidate in Space Law, University of Bradford.
Ms. Fadahunsi-banjo Motolani, Assistant Director and Head MoU and Programs within Legal Services of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA). She began her career in 2007, practicing law in the areas of civil litigation and commercial law, in Abuja, Nigeria. In 2008, she joined NASRDA as a legal officer, contributing to the draft of the NARSDA ACT, 2010, and the National Space Development (Licensing & Supervisory, ETC) Regulations 2012. Her responsibilities include negotiating and drafting agreements, contracts, and bonds between the Agency and other domestic and international parties. In addition, she coordinates the Nigerian National rounds of the Manfred Lachs moot court competition and the annual space law workshop within the Agency. She is currently working on initiating the Space Traffic Management and Space Situation Awareness desk in Nigeria.
She holds Master's degrees in Air and Space Law, (Leiden University, Netherlands), Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications law (University of Nebraska), and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Bradford where she is researching the "International Law and Mineral Exploitation of Planets: Domination, hegemony, and exploitation of the Higher Grounds through Regulatory Capture of the space industries".
She is a resource person with the Nigerian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Women in Aerospace Nigeria, and a guest lecturer at the United Nations African Regional Center for Space Science and Technology Education in English, Ile-Ife Nigeria. She has presented papers on various aspects of space activities such as space resources, space traffic management, and sustainable use of space, and published papers in different Journals and international websites.
