Dr. Opeyemi Y. Omotuyi is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She is a lecturer in the Department of Private Law, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, where she teaches the law of contract, and environmental law. Having accumulated several years of post-graduate experience in the field of sustainable development, she had built a research niche for herself in this field as an academic. Hence, her research focuses on the deployment of law as an instrument of social change towards the achievement of the sustainable development agenda in Nigeria, and Africa. With particular focus on issues of environmental management, climate change, energy transition, corporate sustainability, and inequality, her research addresses how law may be effectively utilized to steer corporate and societal actions and decisions toward ensuring a sustainable society.
