Niklas Jasper studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen (Germany), where he passed the First State Examination in Law in 2020. Until 2022 he completed his legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart (Germany), finishing with the Second State Examination in Law. From 2020 to 2025 he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Professor Dr. Johannes Saurer, LL.M. (Yale), at the University of Tübingen, where he received his doctorate for a thesis on energy infrastructure planning law ('Infrastructure Bundling through Preparatory Measures', Duncker & Humblot, (Berlin (Germany) 2026)) in July 2025. He has published several works concerning renewable energy infrastructure and planning law. In August 2025 he commenced an LL.M. programme at the National University of Singapore. After graduating, Niklas joined Hogan Lovells Cadwalader in Frankfurt (Germany) as an Associate.
