Thomas Palley

Mr Palley is the Director of the Open Society Institute's Globalization Reform Project.
Prior to joining the Globalization Reform Project, which focuses on the promotion of policies aimed at making globalization more inclusive, democratic, and equitable, Thomas Palley was assistant director of public policy at the AFL-CIO, where he managed a team of economists working on domestic and international economic policy issues.
Palley is the author of Plenty of Nothing: The Downsizing of the American Dream and the Case for Structural Keynesianism (Princeton University Press), which examines recent developments within the U.S. economy. He has published in numerous academic journals and written for the Atlantic Monthly, the American Prospect, and the Nation. Palley holds a B.A. from Oxford University and an M.A. in international relations and Ph.D. in economics, both from Yale University.
