Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership
Profile
The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a coalition of progressive governments, businesses and organisations committed to accelerating the development of renewable and energy efficiency systems (REES).
Initiated at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in August 2002 by the UK Government, the REEEP provides an open and flexible framework within which governments work together to meet their own sustainable energy objectives according to their own timetables.
In November 2003, with assistance from the Austrian Government, we opened our International Secretariat at the Vienna International Centre. The project is supported by a number of governments including: Austria, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands and the European Commission.
