Franco Romerio
Profile
Franco Romerio studied economics and history at the University of Geneva, where he received his Ph.D. in economics in 1993. He also holds a Master in energy systems of the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne. He is a member of the CUEPE since 1988 where he has carried out numerous studies in the field of energy policy and energy economics. He has been working on electricity market organisation since 1994.

The University Center for the Study of Energy Problems (CUEPE), University of Geneva, Switzerland : Since its foundation in 1978, CUEPE has worked on several themes related to energy policy and, in particular, on energy scenarios, energy consumption, renewable energy, nuclear energy, rational use of energy and more recently electricity markets and networks. CUEPE applies an interdisciplinary approach, by forming research teams of economists, engineers, physicists and architects. It promotes interaction between scientists, professionals and decision makers in the public and private sector.
