Dr. Juan José Verdesio has a PhD in Energy Economics (Université de Pierre Mendes France, Grenoble, France, 1997) and has been a professor and research engineerinng with the Agriculture Engineering Group, Faculty of Agronomy, University of Brasília since 1989 about Renewables Energies. Between 1998 and 2000, he was an advisor of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, FAO and some consulting engineering entreprises in environmental impacts of energy projects. He was a Research Scientist in the National Institute of Space Research from Brazil (1975-1982).
His major research interests include energy policy for renewables energies and applications of solar thermal systems for agribussiness. He has published on these subjects and coordinated studies in solar thermal applicatios for agribussiness in Brazil.
