Dominique Finon is Senior Research Fellow in Economics of the French National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS). He has been head of the institutute d'Economie et de Polique de l'Energie (IEPE), a joint institutute of the CNRS and the Grenoble University from 1990 to 2002. Since this dates he is Deputy director of the Energy Programme of the CNRS and makes his researches in the International Center for the Environment and the Development (CIRED), a joint institute of the CNRS and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris.
He has made his main researches successively on energy modelling (he is the author of the
partial equilibrium energy model EFOM developed for and used widely by the European Commission),
on economics and political economy of nuclear programs, on RD and innovation policies in the
energy sector and on institutional reforms of electricity and gas industries.
