Aset A. Shyngyssov is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and Managing Partner of the firm's Almaty, Kazakhstan, office. Mr. Shyngyssov's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate matters, and he has experience in complex transactions in various industries, including oil and gas, energy, banking, and telecommunications, both in Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia. Mr. Shyngyssov has been featured in Chambers Global, Legal 3000, and other relevant law directories for his experience in natural resources, corporate, and commercial law in Kazakhstan.

Mr. Shyngyssov earned his LL.M. from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington in 1998, where he was a Muskie Fellow. He graduated, summa cum laude, from Kazakh State Law University in 1996 and earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Kazakh State University of International Relations and World Languages in 1993. Mr. Shyngyssov speaks English, Russian, and Kazakh.
