Dr. Lars Albath, LL.M., is a German-trained lawyer specialised on European, international trade and energy law. He studied law at the Universities of Giessen and Utrecht and at the Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2001 and 2004, he earned his two German law degrees. In 2002, he completed his master studies in international trade law at the University of Amsterdam. He defended his dissertation on trade and investment in electricity and gas in 2005. Lars Albath has obtained some practical experience in energy and infrastructure law in the law firm Becker Büttner Held in Berlin. Currently, he is serving in the Directorate-General on European Policy of the German Federal Ministry of Finance.
