Marc Polonsky

Marc Polonsky is a Partner and head of the energy practice of the Moscow office of the law firm White & Case. Marc has worked on Russian/CIS transactions since 1990 and has particular expertise in the oil and gas sector. Based in Moscow since 1998, he has advised numerous clients on acquisitions, disposals, privatizations, joint ventures, and financings, particularly involving oil and gas companies. Both the International Financial Law Review and Legal Business have recognized Marc as one of Russia's leading project finance lawyers. He is consistently cited by numerous leading publications for his contributions to White & Case's energy and natural resources, project finance and corporate practices.
He has been published in both Russian and English journals including International Company and Commercial Law Review, Neftegaz, and Oil and Gas Law and Taxation Review. Marc graduated from University College, Oxford (B.A., 1983), Imperial College of Science and Technology, London (M.Sc., 1984), and London Guildhall University (Law Society Finals, 1990). He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, and speaks English, French and Russian.
