Valérie Engammare is a policy advisor at the Analysis & Policy Division of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC). Before joining SDC in 2012, she had served as a legal advisor at the International Economic Law Division of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (2007-2012), where she gained experience in international trade negotiations.
Ms. Engammare has also held positions as the regional manager for Southeast Asia at the Swiss Organisation for Facilitating Investments (2005-07) and a research fellow at the Evian Group at IMD (2002-05).
She holds a Ph.D. in international economic law from the University of Zurich. She also holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Lausanne and studied at Kyoto University.
