Summary
Cries that the US is going to war to 'get Iraq's oil' have been largely ignored by the US Administration as unworthy of a detailed response. The Administration need not duck this issue and allow it to complicate an important public debate on the proper course of action regarding Iraq. How resources and property in Iraq, including oil must be treated in the event of an occupation is not a mystery and should not be allowed to become a point of contention.
