Offshore Renewable Energy Development: Part 2 of the Energy Bill

Introduction
On 27 November 2003 an Energy Bill in four Parts with 23 schedules was introduced in the UK House of Lords.[1] According to the Explanatory Notes issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI),[2] the Bill covers three main areas, dealt with respectively in Parts 1 to 3: the civil nuclear industry; renewable energy sources; and energy markets and regulations.
