Introduction
The conclusions of the Extractive Industries Review (mines, petroleum and others) have recently been made public. They indicate how the World Bank Group (WBG) must act in projects in the sector. The study was begun in July 2001, headed by Dr Emil Salim, former Indonesian Environment Minister, as 'Eminent Person'.
