Abstract
In order to increase domestic petroleum production, to further national petroleum supply, to attract investors and to harmonize with legislation of the European Community, Turkey has recently been working on numerous legislative changes concerning its petroleum industry. Besides the implementation of a Petroleum Market Law since 24.12.2003, a Draft Petroleum Law has been sent to the Office of the Prime Minister on 4 July 2003.
