EU Commission Communication: Legislative Package for the security of supply of natural gas and petroleum products
Article from: OGEL 2 (2003), in Digests for Official Reports & Cases
Summary
In September 2002, the Commission proposed a series of harmonization measures to guarantee joint and coordinated action in the Community with regard to security of supply in order to manage its external energy dependence as effectively as possible. The measures consist of two Directive proposals, one for the alignment of measures with regard to security of supply for petroleum products and one for natural gas respectively. Both proposals are complemented by a Communication on the 'internal market in energy and coordinated measures on the security of energy supplies.'
