Introduction
Since the first oil crisis in 1973 energy policy has occupied a significant position in the political debate in Denmark. The energy debate has focused primarily on energy savings and conversion of power plants from oil to coal and not least the development of a domestic energy production based on the resources of oil and natural gas in the North Sea.
