Enron was the one corporate wonder in the energy world. I have dealt with them (in fact their only successful and early split-off ENRON Oil and Gas in Uzbekistan). The problem was getting access to the Gazprom pipelines. I said: I can perhaps try to help you in Moscow. It is difficult and Gazprom strategies are not really favourable. They said: Never mind. We don't need you. We have a large successful office in Moscow and they will make Gazprom do what we want them.
