Introduction
We are very pleased that, together with Professor Maniruzzaman, we have been able to publish the first in a series of Special Features on Asian Energy Law and Policy, later this year this topic will be addressed again in other editions currently in preparation.
Instant Publication
Following the developments last summer, when we managed to make the full archives of the relevant internet discussion fora linked to OGEL and TDM (ENATRES & OGEMID) available in a fully searchable format to the OGEL and TDM subscribers, we continue to add new features to our websites.
"Instant Publication" is the name given to material that is published on the OGEL website ahead of its appearance in a regular structured issue of our OGEL Journal. We have started with OGEL to finetune the process, and if all goes well, we plan to introduce this feature in the TDM Journal as well.
Using "instant publication" we will attempt to make relevant "content" available, for our subscribers, instantly the moment they are endorsed for publication. In this way, we intend to offer another quality service to our subscribers which exploits the unique potential of an internet-based publication process not available in normal, paper-based journals where readers often have to wait for a longer period years until they receive the paper copy of the journal.
Our plan is to continue publication of distinct "issues" in 2006, but these will be a periodic structured "view" or "window" of publications that have appeared in our continuous process of instant publication.
OGEL Subscribers will receive update alerts via e-mail of articles published as soon as they have been added to the website. A short list of recent material will also be available from the OGEL website at www.ogel.org
