Introduction

The title of this talk poses a question: is there really a scientifically proven link between carbon emissions and climate change? The answer is no. Philosophers and scientists have been debating the nature of scientific truth for thousands of years and have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing. All theories are necessarily tentative and temporary. Even experiments can be inconclusive.
