Abstract
On 16 of February 2006 the EC Commission published the preliminary results of its sector specific investigation of EC energy markets. The Commission's study reveals several rather key issues such as vertical integration and problems of transparency. The report confirms that the ex-monopolists are still practically in the same position as before the market liberalisation.
