Summary
Angola has immense amount of oil and diamond production. However, the implication of this windfall on government behaviour and on the economy raised mixed concerns. The country has been trying to grapple with problems of development and poverty alleviation having fought a bitter civil war that lasted over a decade. There is however available evidence to suggest that a large part of the answer to these problems lie in Angola's endowment of oil and mineral resource.
