Introduction
Exploitation of Myanmar's significant natural gas reserves is enviously eyed by a number of the pariah state's neighbours. At the forefront of the race to gain access to the supplies is China with its proposed pipeline from Myanmar's Arakan to its southern province of Yunnan via central Burma.
