Growth Markets for Renewable Energy in Russia

Abstract
This article provides an overview of some reasons why renewable energy might have a not so dim future in Russia, including a large population whose purchasing power has grown steadily the past ten years, possibly the world's best natural resource base for renewable energy and strong scientific traditions.
