Introduction - The EC-Russia Partnership Agreement
The bilateral relationship between the EC and Russia is governed by the "Agreement on partnership and cooperation establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of one part, and the Russian Federation, of the other part." (EC-Russia Partnership Agreement). [1] It was signed in Corfu in June 1994 and entered into force on 1 December 1997.
