Definitions
Responsible regulatory authorities by their active or passive behaviours (or their absence),
that result in wrong, biased or unfair decisions, can be said to have been 'captured'.
'Regulatory Capture' protects the illegal, unethical, or immoral practices, against the public
interest, by the same authorities that are charged with 'policing' the regulated entities.
