Introduction
The Nordic electricity market is nearly twenty years old, and has worked well during that time. Times are changing, however, given the need to decarbonise our energy system. In most European countries, reducing emissions from electricity generation will be an important early step. The Nordic electricity system, of course, already has very low carbon emissions.
