Abstract
In June 2009, the Parliament of Kazakhstan enacted the "Law on Use of Renewable Energy Sources". The law establishes a regulatory framework for renewable energy development in the country. The recently passed secondary legislation and implementation rules to this law determine procedures for project development and approval, as well as on detail the responsibilities of governmental bodies.
