Trans-boundary pipelines in oil and gas are growing in relevance to both industrial and academic discourse. It is anticipated that there will be an increase in oil and gas pipelines in the future, due to the increasing discoveries of reserves in remote and land-locked locations, the depletion of reserves close to established markets, and improvements in cost-effective technological methods of exploration and production in previously uneconomic reserves.
