Abstract
The paper analyses the key variables that shape investment decisions in the Arctic. The main factors that determine a project's economics include: the size of the reserves, the prices of oil and gas, exploration and operating costs, and the fiscal regimes that apply across the five littoral states namely Russia, Norway, Canada, USA and Greenland.
