Abstract
The accident in the nuclear power plant Fukushima Dai-ichi reopened again the interest of the European Union in harmonising the legal framework for nuclear third party liability. Currently, we face a "labyrinth" of international treaties that create a number of different regimes of nuclear third party liability. There are grave differences between the Western and Eastern European member states.
