Abstract
This article analyses transit rules under the WTO and the Energy Charter Treaty in connection with the Southern Gas Corridor Initiative - the highest priority of the European Union's external energy policy. This initiative aims at connecting the EU energy market with the energy-rich Caspian and Middle Eastern basins.
