UNITED KINGDOM, Separate price controls for regional networks?
Article from: OGEL 1 (2003), in For the Practitioner
Introduction
p>Ofgem recently consulted on whether the existing single price control set by it for the 12 Local Distribution Zones ('LDZs') until 31 March 2007 is still appropriate in light of Transco plc's reorganisation in April 2002, when the 12 LDZs became eight regional networks, suggesting that the development of separate price controls for the each of the new networks might be preferable.
The consultation paper can be found on the website http://www.ofgem.gov.uk. Ofgem intends to publish draft proposals in October 2002.
