Summary
In the first issue of the newsletter OGEL Professor Thomas Wälde has revealed some predictions about likely events in the Iraqi petroleum sector following a change of regime. Others added their voices at a meeting of the Iraqi opposition held in London 14 - 17 December 2002. At this meeting the Iraqi leaders-in-exile committed themselves to the drafting of a new Permanent Constitution for their country which was to recognise the unity of Iraq within a federal system.
