Over the past decade, there has been a continued increase in the demand and share of natural gas in the global energy mix, which ordinarily signifies good news for investors and stakeholders in gas exploration and production. While increase in supply from North America, Norway, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for example reflected new field development trends, the outlook in some countries, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, shows a struggle to increase production largely due to some upstream commercial, legal and regulatory challenges affecting the de facto development of new fields. ...
