The European Union and Energy Community's Commitments to Energy Sustainability from Renewable Sources as an Opportunity for the Enhancement of the International Law Dimension of the Renewable Energy Sector

Introduction
The purpose of this article is to underline the main differences in the regulatory instruments that have been applied within the UN, EU and consequently the Energy Community for the promotion of renewable resources and illustrates a few reasons why it would be appropriate for the EU to promote an enhancement of the international legal framework, in light of its experience deriving from the impact of its rules on other 'regions' of the world, in order to improve its commitment and that of the Energy Community to energy sustainability from renewable resources.
