Abstract
The status quo of the global oil and gas industry being dominated by a few European and American oil companies appears to have reached its peak. The international trade in oil, once synonymous with the Seven Sisters has gone through an evolutionary process prompting queries on the future existence of International Oil Companies (IOCs).
