Abstract
There currently is only one significant maritime boundary dispute in the Arctic Ocean within 200nm of the coasts of the littoral states - that between the USA and Canada in the Beaufort Sea. The Beaufort Sea is a highly prospective petroleum province and thus the resolution of this dispute will have significant implications for future oil and gas development in the region.
