Although installed offshore wind farm capacity off the UK is a mere 4MW (and worldwide a mere 250MW), the DTI's recent White Paper, Our energy future - creating a low carbon economy , suggests that the UK offshore wind industry is, with appropriate Government help, set to 'take off'.
