Abstract
The Environmental policy in the Republic Croatia has been strongly shaped by Croatia's accession to the European Union in mid-2013. Since then, Croatia has implemented and transposed the majority of the EU environmental legislation into its national order. The main legal source is the Waste Act along with the respective national strategy and plan. A major concern in Croatia is the disposal of large amounts of municipal waste at landfills.
