Decarbonization and the Integration of Renewables in Transitional Energy Markets: Examining the Power to Gas Option in the United States
Article from: OGEL 4 (2020), in Renewable Energy
Introduction
The aim of this paper is to highlight and discuss the dynamics of such cross-sectoral complexities and the potential to fill the identified gaps in US energy policy pertaining to the integration of renewables and the development of considerable technologies such as P2G in the energy transitions movement. It seeks to understand the existing regulatory, legal and policy framework that impacts evolving power-to-gas options, and whether the framework effectively manages such potential applications to innovatively decarbonize the energy supply value chain or rather creates bottlenecks.
