Abstract
Environmental, social, and governance ("ESG") issues have grown in prominence over the last few decades as consumers, stakeholders, and companies have taken public stances on important global problems. Oil and gas companies in the energy industry have adapted to the rise of ESG, and to the implementation of new ESG-rating systems.
