Abstract
Ghana is one of the few sub-Saharan African countries with a high rate of electricity access of 82.5%. However, the last decade has proven that the power demand has disproportionally been met by the supply side owing to several factors, including lack of diversity in power supply and generally, low level of investment in the energy sector.
