Electricity Law in the Czech Republic
Article from: OGEL 3 (2003), in Electricity Law and Regulation
Summary
The basic principles of government policy in the Czech electricity sector are set forth in the National Energy Policy (NEP). The NEP is prepared by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Commerce ('the Ministry') and approved by the Government of the Czech Republic ('the Government') as a draft open document with a horizon of 15 to 20 years. Compliance with the NEP is monitored and evaluated by the Ministry within intervals no longer than two years. The Ministry informs the Government on such evaluation and proposes eventual amendments.
