The implementation of a cross border trade (CBT) mechanism in the South East Europe Countries is of high importance because: it is a precondition for the creation of a regional electricity market and its integration into the EU IEM; the present way to remunerate the transmission networks interested in international electricity exchanges is not satisfactory for most SEE TSOs.
