Summary
This report discusses the overall gas sector and its potential in Angola. Angola produces associated gas and most of it has been flared as there was no market for gas. This report estimates that the country has about 5.4 billion barrels of oil (estimated in 1998) and the corresponding flaring would be huge. In 1998 alone 140 bcf gas was flared. At the date of the report Angolan gas did not find much economic value.
