Summary
The Eastern Mediterranean countries play a key role in the transit of hydrocarbons from the Gulf and Caspian regions and this role is due to grow in the future. The objective of this task is to analyse the present situation and the prospects taking into account the characteristics of existing transit infrastructures (pipelines and also the Suez Canal) and the need for new transit pipelines; the study will include scenarios for the production of hydrocarbons in the Gulf and Caspian regions.
