The matter before me relates to the costs of a two-week arbitration which took place in February 2024 arising out of the termination of two Production Sharing Contracts relating to the exploitation of oil and gas reserves in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. On 2 December 2024, a distinguished tribunal issued a Partial Final Award holding that the claimant in the arbitration ("KRG") had validly terminated the Contracts and dismissing the counterclaim brought by the respondent ("GEMBBL") for damages for repudiation. ...
